Arizona State University Senate President outlines Priorities

On behalf of the University Senate, I would like to welcome new and returning members of the Academic Assembly
to the 2018-2019 academic year. As we kick off the
year the Senate is certainly busy; campus presidents are continuing their involvement with General Education reform that began last year. The Academic Integrity task force members are planning “listening sessions” beginning in early October, where they will highlight their work and secure faculty feedback; the Online Education Task Force continues their review of faculty survey data so as to provide insight on the development of faculty support needs in the online education realm.

The Senate office and Senators serve as a liaison between the faculty and our ASU leadership. I encourage you to communicate any University-wide concerns to your Senator or campus president so that we can more fully represent your interests. Have a productive year, and let us know how we may help you.
